Dr. Javed Iqbal is serving as Associate Professor in Department of Computer Software Engineering, National University of Science and Technology, Pakistan. Prior to joining NUST, he worked as Associate Professor and Chair of Department of Computer Systems Engineering at University of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Swat, Pakistan. He has more than seventeen years of Academic and R & D experience. He received his Ph.D. from Polytechnic University of Turin, Italy and MS from BTH, Sweden in 2015 and 2009 respectively. He was awarded scholarship for Ph.D. by Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC), Pakistan, under the UESTP-Italy project. He was part of the Italian Govt. funded project of five million euros for the topic ``Socially Aware Networking for Human Cooperation in Mobility'' a PRIN project which spanned from Feb 2012 – Dec 2014. He also worked in a 3 million PKR research project as PI on the topic ``An innovative demonstration for low energy building: Components, energy techniques and ICT tools'' sponsored by USAID from Sep 2016 – Sep 2017. Dr. Javed is member of PEC, INSTICC and Member of Advisory Council for KPITB, KPK, Pakistan. He has published in prestigious journals and conferences with the cumulative impact factor above 100. He is also working as Associate Editor of IEEE TASE and IEEE Access. His current research interests include Content-centric Networking, Software Defined Networking, Wireless Sensor Networks, Cloud Computing, WSN and Smart IoT.
