Dr Maryam Rasool joined the Department of Electrical Engineering in Feb 2013 as a lab engineer after completing her BS Electrical (Engineering) Degree. She completed her MS Electrical Engineering Degree with distinction in Feb 2016 and was promoted to the post of lecturer. She completed her PhD Electrical Engineering with distinction in Sep 2022 and was promoted to the post of Assistant Professor. She is also currently serving as Associate HoD, Department of Electrical Engineering. She has a taught a wide range of engineering subjects related to the fields of electromagnetics, microwave and wireless communication. Her current research interests include modern antenna design techniques for 5G/6G, smart communication and internet of things (IoT) applications, development of metasurfaces for security and commercial applications, and wireless communication physical layer security.
