Dr. Muhammad Kamran Khan is serving as Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Software Engineering at National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Pakistan. He has more than 11+ years vast academic and research experience in Computer Science & IT. He has completed his PhD in Computer Science and Systems Engineering from the Department of Informatics, Bioengineering, Robotics and Systems Engineering (DIBRIS), University of Genova, Italy in 2022. Dr. Kamran was recipient of the prestigious Foreign PhD scholarship by Italian government under the European Union (EU) project Horizon 2018-2022. He was scholarship holder for the EU joint Master IT degree program for MS in Information Technology from three International European universities: University of Applied Sciences (Germany), Halmstad University (Sweden) and Aalborg University (Denmark) in 2009; and BS in Computer Science in 2004 from the Department of Computer Science, University of Peshawar, KPK, Pakistan. He has taught a wide range of computing subjects including Computer Programming, Data Structures & Algorithms, Artificial Intelligence, Object-Oriented Programming, Database Systems, Computer Networks, Software Engineering, Operating Systems, Human Computer Interactions and Software Project Management. Prior to joining NUST, he served as a Lecturer and Assistant Professor from 2010 to 2011, 2012 to 2018, and 2022 to 2023 in Department of Computer Science & IT at Sarhad University of Sciences and Information Technology (SUIT), Peshawar, KPK, Pakistan. He also worked as focal person for ICT industrial linkages with different government departments in KP. He had organized several industrial visits, seminars, workshops, and invited tech-talks on different topics in Computer Science & IT. Dr Kamran has number of research publications in the prestigious journals and conferences. His research interests focuses on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Knowledge Representation and Reasoning (KRR). In parallel, he also investigate futuristic intelligence paradigms through IoT-based wireless personal area networks, with a focus on the performance analysis and design of efficient algorithms for wireless systems. Collectively, his work aims to bridge theoretical AI foundations with practical applications in intelligent systems, optimization, and next-generation communication technologies.
