Summary
Dr. Shibli Nisar from the Department of Electrical Engineering joined MCS as a NUST faculty member in January 2019. He possesses extensive teaching, research, administrative, and professional experience spanning from 2008 to the present. In addition to his academic roles in renowned universities, he has also served as Assistant Director (Telecom) in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police. During his tenure at MCS, Dr. Nisar has published over 40 research articles in leading international journals and conferences and has supervised several MS and PhD students. He has successfully secured multiple funded research projects from ICT R&D Fund (Ignite), NESCOM, HEC, PEC, and the Directorate of C&IT. In recognition of his outstanding contributions, he received the Institution’s Best Teacher Award for the year 2024–25. Dr. Shibli Nisar is also serving as head of AI & Machine Learning Research Lab at MCS–NUST.
