The Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE) has launched a multi-year competitive grants programme for policy-oriented research in Pakistan titled ‘Research for Social Transformation and Advancement’ (RASTA) under the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) of the Ministry of Planning, Development and Special Initiatives, the Government of Pakistan.
RASTA has invited the first round of research proposals on the following themes (call for proposals attached):

  • Growth and Development
  • Market and Regulations
  • Cities Governance and Development
  • Persisting Energy Problems of Pakistan
  • Governance, Public Policy Making, and Aid Dependence

PIDE is also organising two Webinars and one Workshop to provide guidance regarding potential applicants about the RASTA’s objectives, program design, application procedure, review process and writing skills for good proposal.

The deadline for submission of research proposal at PIDE is November 20, 2020. Therefore, it is requested to share research proposals to Research Directorate via e-Minute (no hard copy will be accepted) by  November 13, 2020 (COB) for endorsement of the Competent Authority.
