Summary

Fawad Khan is a cyber security expert and an academician with several years of experience. He specializes in Cryptography & Information security and has worked on several cyber security projects. He is presently an Assistant Professor at Department of Information Security in National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Islamabad, Pakistan. He received PhD Degree in Information Security from School of Cyber Engineering, Xidian University, Xi’an, China in 2018 and Masters’ and Bachelors’ degrees in Electrical (Communication) Engineering from CECOS University, Peshawar and University of Engineering & Technology, Peshawar in 2014 and 2010, respectively. His research interest and expertise include Attribute-based Encryption, Searchable Encryption, Homomorphic Encryption, Multi party computation, Authentication, Blockchain and Privacy preserving Machine Learning. He has also served as a Lab Engineer at the Department of Electrical Engineering, FAST – NUCES, Peshawar Campus from 2011-2015. Fawad has a passion for industry-oriented teaching and seeks to provide solutions to address the industry related problems. His professional services include Technical Program Committee Member and reviewer for several international journals and conferences. He is a Senior Member of IEEE.
