To establish the department as a center of excellence in domain of information and cyber security engineering, focusing on a conducive learning environment along with top quality teaching, research and entrepreneurship to contribute towards building a better society.

Mission

• To impart state-of-the-art educational program in line with national/international standards/ needs.
• To prepare undergraduate and graduate students for productive careers in industry, academia, and government by providing a conducive environment for teaching, learning, and research in the theory and application of information and cyber security engineering.
• To prioritize and strengthen its status as an eminent regional, national and international resource center for discovery, integration and application of new knowledge in areas of Information Assurance, Cyber Security, Cryptography and related disciplines.
• To provide conducive environment to students for achieving excellence in learning, research and innovation.
  To inculcate ethical/ moral values and leadership skills among students, so that they can contribute towards building a better society.
